SCNS Sports Foods Announces Voluntary Nationwide Recall of 10th Tee Peanut Honey Back Nine Golf Energy Bars.


Upland CA -- March 13, 2009-- SCNS Sports Foods is voluntarily recalling the 10th Tee Peanut Honey Back Nine Golf Energy Bar because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The products were distributed by SCNS Sports Foods to golf courses and golf retailers nationwide.

The product is sold as individually wrapped 50 gram bars and 12-count printed trays. The UPC code on the 10th Tee Peanut Honey Back Nine Golf Energy Bar is as follows:

Bars with the following best by dates are included in the voluntary recall:

Best By 5/16/2009
Best By 8/27/2009

None of the other 10th Tee or 1st Tee golf bars distributed by SCNS Sports Foods are being voluntarily recalled or are otherwise affected by this recall.

NO KNOWN ILLNESSES HAVE BEEN REPORTED TO DATE IN CONNECTION WITH THE 10th TEE PEANUT HONEY BACK NINE GOLF ENERGY BARS.

SCNS Sports Foods has informed the FDA of its actions and is fully cooperating with the Agency. The safety of our customers is always our number one priority. SCNS Sports Foods has taken these precautionary steps to help protect our customers.
