Beneficial Foods/ Nature's Candy Announces Voluntary Nationwide Recall

March 1, 2009 -- Beneficial Foods/ Nature's Candy is recalling it's health bars containing peanuts because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The recalled products contain peanut products supplied by Peanut Corporation of America, which has recently announced an expansion of a voluntary recall covering all peanut products manufactured and distributed from their Plainview, TX plant. Peanut Corporation of America is currently the focus of an ongoing investigation concerning the recent Salmonella outbreak.

No illnesses associated with any of our recalled products have been reported to date.

The above products were distributed Nationwide through distributors, retail stores, and mail order.



Peanut Butter Krinkles and Karob Krinkles are identified by either a 2-color printed clear wrapper or a plain clear wrapper sold in bulk bins. The Peanut Chip Crunch bars are in a plain clear wrapper with a stick on label. The Peanut Caramel Omega-3 Uplift Bars are in a printed blue wrapper with a mountain scene on the front.
