PaleyBar Recalls Jam-N-Peanuts Bars.


March 7, 2009 -- PaleyBar of Portland, Oregon is recalling Jam-n-Peanuts Bars, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The bars were manufactured at Betty Lou's, Inc. in McMinnville, Oregon in a facility using peanut products recalled by Peanut Corporation of American because they may be contaminated with Salmonella.

Jam-n-Peanuts Bars were distributed online (via internet), at Paley's Place Bistro & Bar, and through Portland retailers: Food Front Cooperative Grocery, PastaWorks, Whole Foods Market NW, Whole Foods Market Bridgeport Village, 21st Avenue Bicycles, and Fat Tire Farm, Anna Banannas, New Seasons Concordia and Sellwood, Sunset Cycles.

The recall only affects Jam-n-Peanuts Bars with "Best By" dates of:

You can find the "Best By" date printed on the wrapper of individual bars, as well as on the underside of each box. Each bar is individually wrapped with a label that reads "…Paleybar Jam'n Peanuts…" and UPC code 897426000024. Boxes contain 12 bars and are labeled as "Paleybar Jam'n Peanuts" with UPC code 897426000123.

No known illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product.

We ask that you please examine any bars you may have, and return those with affected dates to the address below for a full refund.
