Potent Foods®, Inc. Announces Nationwide Voluntary Recall of Potent Life™ Bars.

March 3, 2009- Potent Foods, Inc. of Lake Oswego, Oregon is recalling Potent Foods® Potent Life™ bars because it was discovered that its distributor was supplying organic peanuts from the Peanut Corporation of America, and may be contaminated with salmonella.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the Potent Life™ bars.

Potent Foods® Potent Life™ Bars are distributed nationally through retail health food stores and internet sites. The specific products included in the recall are:

All Potent Life Bars distributed from June, 2008 to February 24, 2009 are involved in this recall. Potentially affected products can be identified by the following Best By Dates:

*All further production will be made with nuts from a separate supplier not affected by this recall.

The bars are packaged in 1.4 oz. packages and 12-count printed boxes.
