Rock Creek Nut Company Recalls Trail Fix, Gourmet Delight and Quick Fix.



March 10, 2009 -- Rock Creek Nut Company of Union, Oregon is recalling Trail Fix, Gourmet Delight and Quick Fix trail mixes, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The Trail Fix, Quick Fix and Gourmet Delight WERE manufactured using peanut products recalled by Peanut Corporation of American because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella.

Trail Fix, Gourmet Delight and Quick Fix were distributed nationwide through REI Stores, Health Food Stores, retail stores, college bookstores and internet sales.

Product descriptions: Trail Mixes are packaged in 2 oz. and 8 oz. clear packages with a round label. Trail Fix has a white/blue label with palm tree artwork. Gourmet Delight has a purple/white label with palm tree artwork, Quick Fix has a blue/white label with palm tree artwork. Products made from Jan. 1st, 2007-Feb. 2009 are on the recall list. New product will be labeled on the back with date of packaging. No known illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product/these products. The recall was initiated after it was determined that the peanut product received was manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America. Rock Creek Nut Company has informed FDA of its actions and is fully cooperating with the Agency. Consumers who have purchased Rock Creek Trail Mixes containing peanuts are urged to return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
