Top Food & Drug and Haggen Food and Pharmacy Stores Recall Pistachios.

Bellingham, WA - April 9, 2009--- TOP Food & Drug and Haggen Food & Pharmacy stores in Washington and Oregon have voluntarily recalled pistachios from Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. due to concerns of potential Salmonella contamination.

As a precautionary measure, TOP Food and Haggen stores removed from sale all Setton Pistachio products on March 31st. This was done in response to a recall issued by Setton Pistachio on specific lots of its bulk roasted shelled pistachios.

The Setton products that had been sold in TOP Food and Haggen stores until March 31st were:

* Bulk in-shell roasted pistachios (PLU 8626)
* Setton Farms Pistachios, 2-pound bag (UPC 34325-01042)
* Setton Farms Pistachios, 1-pound bag (UPC 34325-01459)

Our Guests may return the product to a TOP Food or Haggen store for a full refund.

No known illnesses have been reported to date in connection with pistachios and pistachio products.
