QUINCY, Mass., The Stop & Shop Supermarket Company, following a recall by Tri-Union Seafoods removed from sale 5-ounce variety of Genova solid light tuna in olive oil. The product has a UPC code 4800013265, Best By Date 10/17/12 and product code DEHAH 1A225 or DEHBH 1A225.
Tri-Unions Seafood issued a precautionary recall because the product contains an undeclared ingredient, soybean oil, an allergen not listed on the ingredient label.
Upon hearing of the announcement by the manufacturer, Stop & Shop immediately removed the item from its shelves. Stop & Shop has not received any reports of illness or injuries associated with the consumption of this product.
Customers who have purchased this product may return it to Stop & Shop for a full refund.
